![]() I don’t know if it possible to ensure that the same drive letter gets assigned with commands inside a batch file. The only problem is the drive letter as mentioned. The batch file or the shortcut can resist on your external drive and can be started by double-click. Your DATABASE file will be automatically rendered for you to view instantly. If it is only is only a onliner like this you can use an icon/shortcut and put this in the “field execute” or so (I have no English Windows version so this field might have a different name). How to open a DATABASE file online Click inside the file drop area to upload a DATABASE file or drag & drop a document file. This would use an existing or if it does not exist create a new database called dt.db and put all created previews and other stuff the needs caching in the directory cache. "C:\Program Files\darktable\bin\darktable.exe" -library :\dt.db -cachedir :\cache to start darktable with the two options -library and -cachedirat the same time. On windows you can create batch files or use shortcuts to do this. Multiple of this options can be used at the same time to invoke darktable. Find unity and unity crash handler and close the tasks. Scroll down into your background proccess. ![]() to see the output/startoptions you have to look at this log file in the manual. I found a fix for anyone having this locked file issue This has worked for me multiple times: Close unity hub. That’s what does not work, because the output is written to some log file on disk. ![]() So if you start darktable like: "C:\Program Files\darktable\bin\darktable.exe" -help to see some documentation about startoptions nothing happens. However, there is no logging output shown at the command prompt. I guess I should look at alternatives.Starting darktable with "C:\Program Files\darktable\bin\darktable.exe" -library d:\tmp\dt.db at the windows command prompt ( cmd.exe) creates a new database for me in d:\tmp\ as already mentioned. I'm just so disappointed that all my work is gone and it seems to have been some random error in the software. But is there still no way of getting that information back into Davinci Resolve?Īlso, I created a small two clip project after this, to see if it would save normally by doing exactly what I did to save the first project, and this new tiny project saved and showed in my project manager just fine. Opening the db file in Notebook seems to reveal all the little editing steps I took along the way while working on my project. Apologizes if there is a similar posted topic, but I did not find one that matched my situation exactly. I thought that "Create New Project" and then a "Save Project" here and there would be sufficient to save my work but it appears to be gone and I am very sad. ![]() I am hoping that there is a fix for this, but I also would like to know why this happened at all. When I clicked on it, there was a file inside called Project.db however I could not get it to open by importing or dragging and dropping. Panicked, I found the file folder on my computer that contains saved projects, and there was a folder inside with the same title as my project. The project did not appear on the main screen. I exited the program, and reopened it a few minutes later. So I created a new project, and periodically saved it throughout my work. ![]()
